Once you start using an home automation system, you should also consider what happens when its not running. One option you should configure is the backup of the system, weather its domoticz of home assistant.

A very nice option is the google drive backup add-on from Stephen Beechen. I for sure can recommend this when you start working with Home Assistant. The installation instructions are on the github page but its fairly simple;

Add the add-on repository;

Click the install link;

Once running open the web-ui, this enables you get an authentication code for your google drive account. After a full backup is done, it will upload the backup to google drive so that in case your hardware fails, you have a good backup of your system available.

It has a lot of usefull options, for example the settings to configure how many backups to retain.
